The 5 Plus Ensemble had the first of several Salons planned for New York City. The salon was held at Dance Theatre of Harlem on December 14, 2018, and featured: Carmen de Lavallade was Mistress of Ceremonies and also read an enlightening excerpt from a Janet Collins book; Marva Hicks, Broadway and Cabaret songstress, sang “ Guess Who I saw Today”; Rebecca Rigert danced an exquisite solo by Michael Leon Thomas, “Residual Effects”; a comic/dramatic piece, “The Will”, written and directed by Hope Clarke; and a dance works included the ensemble performing “Getting It Together” choreographed by Roumel Reaux, and “Residual Effects”
